The FMCI-PF1M Ethernet media converter is designed to transmit and receive 10/100 Mbps data over optical fiber through user-selectable small form-factor pluggable (FSFP) options. It requires interchangeable FSFP modules (ordered separately) for fiber type, distance, and connectors. It transmits and receives a single channel of Ethernet data. The electrical interface auto-negotiates between 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps Ethernet rates without any adjustments. The optical interface operates at a 100 Mbps Ethernet rate. It is designed to operate in harsh industrial environments without electrical or optical adjustments (plug and play). It may be either wall- or rack-mounted.
